Positioning ring plates in the µ range
Task
Two ring plates that are to be screwed together and later pressed together and secured in the same position by a press system must be positioned with an accuracy in the µ range.
Solution
In order to be able to position the ring plates with the best possible alignment, two laser distance sensors are used, and the parts are checked in various spots to verify the exact alignment of the disk element resting on top. The analog output signals of both distance sensors are compared in a PLC and checked according to the customer's definition or tolerances.
