During metalworking, weld seams have to be detected at points during the wire manufacturing and the contour has to be monitored.
In wire-pulling machines, wires are pulled to the appropriate dimension. In the process, the wire end pieces are welded together and reliably detected by a line laser fork light barrier. The process is not disrupted by this, because the defect can be removed. Furthermore, the line laser fork light barrier can take over yet another function after the pulling machine by monitoring the contour and thickness of the wire.
