Displaying a product jam in an automatic assembly machine
Task
In automatic assembly machines, the current product flow is usually displayed using a signal light system. Due to the system's complexity, a signal lamp cannot always indicate a product jam with absolute certainty, which can result in unnecessarily long downtime.
Solution
The solution is a new concept for displaying the machine status. Downtime can be minimized and faults can be displayed clearly when the signal lamp system is replaced or supplemented with signal lighting and, in conjunction with this, the product jam is indicated directly at the affected position in the system.
