Displaying a product jam in a packaging machine
Task
In packaging machines, products are packaged in cartons or foil. The product jam is usually indicated using a signal light system. Due to the system's complexity, a signal lamp cannot always be assigned with absolute certainty, which can result in unnecessarily long downtimes.
Solution
The solution is a new concept for displaying the machine status. Downtime can be minimized and damage can be prevented when the signal lamp system is replaced or supplemented with signal lighting and, in conjunction with this, the machine status is displayed directly at the affected position in the system.
