Counting snippets/strips of aluminum
Task
Aluminum snippets are punched out in a packaging machine for contact lenses. This waste has to be guided out of the machine by a defined process to prevent any foreign objects from inadvertently getting in the packaging.
Solution
For waste snippets to be reliably removed from the following process after the aluminum foil is punched, the aluminum snippets are sucked through a frame light barrier by a Venturi nozzle and counted as a result.
