Detecting injection molding defects
Task
A rubber article must be checked in its four extreme points for whether or not it was completely molded.
Solution
<p>To detect injection molding defects, a gripper picks up an opaque, semi-transparent rubber article and holds it between the Vision Sensor and the background lighting.</p>
<p>The position readjustment of the Vision Sensor compensates position tolerances of the very small component. The edges are measured, causing even minor injection molding defects to be detected reliably.</p>
