Hose clamps have adjusting screws on them. It is necessary to check whether these are in place. The problem here is that the hose clamp is positioned inexactly and can be displaced a couple mm in the conveying direction. If the screw is not present, there are only about 5 mm to the clamp.
A laser line diffuse sensor is highly suitable for detecting parts that are guided inexactly; thanks to its electronic background suppression of the band, it also detects the presence of the screw very reliably.
